Learn About the Schools: About

K-12

Our region’s schools work together to make education relevant to the emerging needs of the 21st century. That includes a strong STEM focus and measuring the “four C’s”—communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. Our high school students earn SAT and ACT scores that are consistently above the national averages and, compared to other communities, more of our high school students graduate and more go on to college. Private school networks are strong here, too. Evangelical, Lutheran, parochial, and Montessori schools are all options. Your child will get a solid foundation in our schools so they can go on to do big things.

WHO TO TRUST WITH YOUR PRECIOUS LITTLE ONES?
It’s an important question. Luckily, this area is populated with people who are uncommonly trustworthy, compassionate and, well, North Dakota and Minnesota nice—just the kind of people you want caring for your kids.

No matter your age, this is a great place for life-long learning. Our citizens take advantage of a variety of opportunities in the areas of university community education, workforce training, and professional development.
